Get ready to see a batch of fresh faces on upcoming episodes of ‘Greek.’ With stars like Lea Thompson as Cappie’s mom, the mid-season premiere on Jan. 25 will kick off an exciting stretch of episodes for the ABC Family series. News first dropped in late late November that Lea Thompson of ‘Back to the Future’ and ‘Caroline in the City’ fame was tapped to play Cappie’s (Scott Michael Foster) hippie mom, April. Jim Abele of ‘24‘ fame is also on hand to play his non-conformist dad... (Read More)

Rebecca may not seem to care about who her actions hurt, but actress Dilshad Vadsaria, who plays the senator’s daughter, often struggles with the choices her character makes. Case in point: Rebecca’s current story line on “Greek” (she hooked up with her best friend’s boyfriend) has Dilshad balling up her fists, looking to the sky and shouting “noooooo!” Well, metaphorically. Sure, infidelity is par for the course in college, but after spending two and a half... (Read More)

“Greek” is More than Just a Guilty Pleasure

Guilty pleasure television is as available on a daily basis as the blue handicapped buttons are accessible on the River Campus. In other words, very, very available.  They are the shows that play in repeat on the Soap network. It’s the reality series that have taken over the world with their mind-draining super powers. Even the competition dramas that draw in viewers by the millions each week fall in this category.  As a girl that prides herself on watching only quality television, I have to... (Read More)

In 2007, ABC Family released their original series, Greek. Now in its third season, the show seems to have successfully gained an audience that is hooked on the lives of students at the fictional Cyprus-Rhodes University. Set in Ohio, the series follows these students through the trials and tribulations of their involvement with Greek fraternities, as well as the struggles and adventures of college life in general. Lighthearted and addicting, the show holds appeal for teens and their parents alike.... (Read More)

Amber Stevens Talks GREEK Finale

I have been saying all over the place, anywhere that anyone will listen, that this season of GREEK has been my favorite so far.  The stories have been sharp, the humor is top notch, and the twists and turns have made for some of the most consistently enjoyable hours of TV this Fall!!  One of the best things about the show is how much time they’ve spent fleshing out the characters that could have easily been stereotypes of the varied college students they portray. Last week, I had the chance to... (Read More)

When the Greek mid-season finale airs (Mon, 9/8c on ABC Family), viewers will see what transpires after Casey and Cappie finally locked lips in the penultimate episode. Spencer Grammer, who plays Casey, told TVGuide.com that she hoped the kiss was “as rewarding for everyone as we were trying to make it.” So what else can we expect down the road for Cappie (Scott Michael Foster), Casey and her ZBZ girls? Grammer tells us what’s in store at Cyprus Rhodes, why she doesn’t want... (Read More)

When I first rushed into the world of “Greek” I assumed Ashleigh was, despite being a brunette, the token dumb blond. With her neon clothes and pop culture references, she could have easily become “Clueless: The College Years.” But over the course of three seasons Ashleigh has revealed herself to be one of the show’s most fascinating and complex characters. And this season finally gave actress Amber Stevens the opportunity to take center stage as Ashleigh unexpectedly... (Read More)

Sam Page (a.k.a. Joan’s jerk-face husband on Mad Men and James Woods’ ex-underling on Shark) is joining Greek in a major recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively. Page’s character, Joel, is described as a smart and accessible local campaign manager for a congresswoman. During the casting process, Greek producers referred to the role as “McDreamy with a law degree.” I think they got the right guy for the job. According to a Greek insider, Joel shares a past connection with Rebecca... (Read More)

Spencer Grammer stars as sorority it-girl Casey Cartwright on ABC Family’s hit show Greek. But the 25-year-old actress and daughter of Kelsey Grammer admits that her own college experience couldn’t have been more different. One thing the laid-back star shares with her queen-bee character is the passion for learning and a desire to stand up for a good cause. Between classes and frat parties, Grammer and her Greek co-stars are teaming up with DoSomething.org to inspire a whole generation... (Read More)
