When I first rushed into the world of “Greek” I assumed Ashleigh was, despite being a brunette, the token dumb blond. With her neon clothes and pop culture references, she could have easily become “Clueless: The College Years.” But over the course of three seasons Ashleigh has revealed herself to be one of the show’s most fascinating and complex characters. And this season finally gave actress Amber Stevens the opportunity to take center stage as Ashleigh unexpectedly became president of her sorority. Unfortunately, her first term involved a cleanup of Obama-ian proportions as ZBZ had lost its social standing and fallen to Nixon-level lows. Friend or Foe

Songfest is approaching, and the ZBZs are determined to win it all. Panhellenic president Katherine offers Casey the VP position, but throws a curveball by disqualifying their dance the night before the competition. Meanwhile, the rivalry between Omega Chi and Kappa Tau heats up. Rusty and Dale are fighting over their science projects and decide that the best way to settle the score is an old fashioned battle bots competition.

Sam Page (a.k.a. Joan’s jerk-face husband on Mad Men and James Woods’ ex-underling on Shark) is joining Greek in a major recurring role, sources confirm to me exclusively.

Page’s character, Joel, is described as a smart and accessible local campaign manager for a congresswoman.

During the casting process, Greek producers referred to the role as “McDreamy with a law degree.” I think they got the right guy for the job.

According to a Greek insider, Joel shares a past connection with Rebecca (Dilshad Vadsaria); he used to work on the Hill with her father.

Page will make his debut during Greek’s upcoming fourth season.

Nearly 500 people stood in line on the first floor of the UF Bookstore to meet Scott Michael Foster and Amber Stevens, stars of the ABC Family show “Greek” Friday.

The co-stars who play Cappie and Ashleigh were in Gainesville through Homecoming weekend to promote ABC Family’s new Pledge Yourself to Do Something campaign, which encourages students to volunteer for organizations in their community.

The actors visit to UF marked the first stop the campaign has made outside of California, where the series is filmed. (more…)
